Due to very bad weather, we had to cancel our Open Ranch event on November 5th. We will be open each Sunday from 11 to 4 beginning November 13 through December 18th. Of course, you can always call to schedule a time to come by. Our farm store is stuffed with warm alpaca sweaters, hats, gloves, our own yarns, and warm, hand knitted items that will make great gifts! We will also have our first round of product from our FeltLoom, including shawls, scarves and maybe even a couple of ponchos. We will have demonstrations on the FeltLoom at 1 PM and 3 PM in our Fiber Arts Studio (previously known as the gargage).

Belle and Tivo -- look alike greys

Whispering Spirit Alpacas is a three year old alpaca breeding operation located in the New Mexico East Mountains off the famous Turquoise Trail. We started with five females with excellent conformation and lineage and focus our breeding program on fleece improvement. This summer we are delighted to welcome five healthy strong crias who are the product of our own herd and breeding program. And they sure look great!

Our herdsire, Grand River Mezcal's Chachapoyo, is a three year old silver grey who has produced two beautiful rose grey females, a medium grey girl (Belleza) and a medium grey near identical boy (Sustantivo). The dam of one of Poyo's offspring is our Super Sam daughter, Wyndy, who birthed a gorgeous 20 pound rose grey girl we have named Windchime. Poyo has expanded our greylines -- an impressive progeny for our still young herdsire.

Our fall news is the delivery of our FeltLoom and the commencement of a new line ofalpaca product we are calling "Whispirit". We are combining alpaca fiber with beautiful silks, acrylic, cotton and other fabrics. We are excited to begin to offer a line of luxurious and unique women's apparel (jackets and hats), scarves, shawls, aand ponchos, all handcrafted in our "Fiber Arts Studio" here at WSA.

We are open and willing to discuss price and financing options. We also are happy to board any animal you purchase from us or from any other alpaca breeder for a fee of $3 per day per animal. Animals purchased here board free for three months. Of course we do not charge a boarding fee if you bring your female here to be bred to one of our herdsires.
